You can add Ferenc, Hajduk, Slavia, Sparta, Plzen and Dinamo Kyiv and make some kind of old Austro-Hungariam empire league
avatar
Yea he wasn’t but it was also a really poor Werder team. That, plus the fact he’s improved his all round game a bit makes me think he’d do well there again.
avatar
I am literally so pissed
avatar
I've always admired his style of play, his mentality is just holding him back, it was evident at West Ham
avatar
No he wouldn’t have
avatar
He's Mainz first penalty taker now and converted his last 2 (or 3 if you count the penalty shootout in the DFB Pokal). So 3/3 he's taken in his career so far. The last penalty against Hoffenheim banged under the cross bar. Should have at least 70 for penalties by now.
avatar
To be honest I don't like the move, I would preferred Hoffenheim F. Grillitsch if bayer want to replace Baumi (33 y, 1y left of contract) in that position as CDM ( at the EURO he was stunning as solo CDM) The problem in bayer system of 4-2-3-1 or what Seoane want's to play 4-2-2-2 is that the 2 CDM can't defend properly ( Demirbay = slow and doesn't put the proper pressure , Aranguiz = average but he doesn't have the high to clear the long balls or the second one's ( the same goes for Demirbay) , Palacios = not sure, Baumi = good in defense with high but not young anymore)

Born and raised in Austria, played for all the Austrian youth teams. A really shocking decision, yes. Wake up.

My takeaways from the game: - We seems to be far better when we are tied than when we are winning. If we are up by 1, we lose all urgency on the ball, we are okay with forcing a long ball that gives away possession, and we become sloppy in defensive organization. - That Villareal goal was a long time coming, as after scoring our defensive organization was extremely poor, leaving lots of space in the half-spaces around the double pivot, and we see Jorginho, Kante, or Kovacic, forced into attempting to apply pressure to Villareal's fullbacks due to a lack of effort from out AMs ("up by one" mentality), leaving just one of our DMs to cover the massive space in front of our back line. However, this would have been fine if the AM on the far side recognized this and dropped back to become one of the DMs while the other DM slides to cover (ex: Ziyech unable to press the fullback because he has just made a long run forward, so Kante steps out to press the fullback, Kovacic slides to take up the position where Kante was in front of the back line, but Havertz doesn't recognize/isn't fit enough yet/isn't working hard enough to take the place where Kovacic just was, leaving Kova exposed by himself in the middle, and if the Villareal fullback can play around Kante by passing to his midfielder, the have advanced past our entire forward/midfield line). - Alluded to in my last point, not enough work rate from the AMs in defensive transition. This could be down to lack of match fitness or lack of tactical understanding from the players, but the number of times the double pivot was left completely exposed because the AM didn't recognize when to hold, instead of pressing, then opening a passing lane into the middle, or when the ball was on the far side, did not tuck into the middle, allowing Villareal's DM to receive with loads of time on the ball since it was a 3v2 in midfield. Ziyech did this a few times but still showed pretty good effort to win the ball back when he recognized the correct time to do so, but Havertz especially did not show enough work rate to cover the central spaces, and several of Villareal's attack's leading to shots stemmed from Havertz not showing the effort to cover the central spaces/stay with his man. It's the kind of mentality that's like, "oh they're too far now, I'll let someone else do it," instead of putting in the extra work to help your team when they need it. There was a noticeable difference when Pulisic and Mount came on, that this didn't happen and you could see those two giving everything to work back to win the ball, stop the counter, or cover teammates. - Our inability to keep the ball/attack with urgency or precision directly correlated with whether we were winning or tied. Tuchel has done a brilliant job creating a positive and demanding team culture, but it is worrying that all eleven players on the field are okay with becoming sloppier when we are leading. He said it himself in the post-match interview that we were brilliant in the first 30, and terrible thereafter until the equalizer, and then we picked it right back up again. That is far too long of a stretch in the match to be okay with smashing the ball forward because we are too uncomfortable with pressure, not making runs to take away defenders or make show support for a teammate on the ball, or not giving 100% in defensive transitions to cover the most important spaces; the central spaces, or not attempting win the ball back immediately after it is lost. I hope Tuchel can fix this mentality, because this was not like the UCL final where we are defending slightly more because the course of the game has changed, it was because we were to lazy to be on the front foot for the entire match, thinking we have a cushion because we are up by 1 goal. However, I feel this will be much less of a problem when our leaders are back on the pitch for a full 90 (Azpi, Thiago Silva, Jorgi, and even to and extent Kante, Mount, Pulisic, Chilwell, and James). - Attacking wise when we were level (first 30 mins, and everything after the equalizer), we made great interchanging runs to open up space to attack, which we have seen many times result in a goal, and it happened again today. Havertz's timed run into towards the corner was brilliant to take advantage of the space which Alonso left by dropping to receive the ball, and Werner and Ziyech's ambition to make a sprinting run into the box completed the action. We saw it again shortly after, with Alonso this time running inside to the space Havertz vacated during his run into the corner, and was found by Havertz's cross and Alons got off a quick shot, which Asjeno brilliantly saved. On the right, CHO also made some brilliant runs when Ziyech took away the fullback by running inside, leaving a great amount of space for Kante or Kova to find CHO with a leading through ball. Werner also had great movement by making arced run into space, and was smart to occupy a defender and leave the ball for Ziyech for the goal. - Our back 3 did great in aggressively pressing the Villareal forward/midfielders after they had breached passed our midfield line, stopping their attacking momentum, even if it means giving away a foul. This is facilitated by the back 3-system since the other 2 may cover, which Rudiger and Chalobah in particular did excellently, and were solid through the whole 90. From Zouma, I want to see him working to cover the other 2 more by covering centrally and bendind them when the are 1v1 with a Villareal player, especially playin as the center of the 3, but these little details are not so detriment in the 3-back system. - I would also like to applaud the goalkeeping team for their teamwork to recognize that Kepa would be the best option and most confident for the penalty shootout, and the humility of Mendy to recognize that this was the right choice. I love having to goalkeepers who push each other everyday in training but also work so well together and support each other, both with great characters. Great to win another trophy, but there were definitely some glaring flaws in our game which Tuchel will most definitely address in training, as he's not the kind to ignore these just because we won the match. It's like the phrase about rowing upstream, if you stop working forward, you start going backwards. I know Tuchel will keep rowing.

you just auto-generated the stats, making this extremely inaccurate

I turned him into a striker in my Saint Etienne career and he's currently a 78 overall, his stats are pretty average, like 85 pace mid to high 70s in shooting dribbling and passing, but for some reason he plays so much better than that. I play on world class but he always manages to squeeze headers in and makes crazy volleyed shots. Smashes in all types of finishes with only like 77ish finishing. Not sure if it's only for me, but I think he's great as a backup/rotation striker for a good team but great for a lower team, just takes some time to get him to be a striker.

Lol Gabigol is the only true striker in your list who flopped in europe. Gabriel Jesus just isn't consistent but didn't flop at all. He scored 82 goals in 195 games for city since 2017 (mid season) without even being a starter on most games which is better than many starting strikers across all top leagues. Gabigol may have failed due to his attitude and lack of opportunities in Europe but he scored 85 goals in 117 games for Flamengo in the past 3 seasons including the winner of the 2019 libertadores. This season alone 15 goals in 15 games. Vini and Rodrygo are both 20 years old and you expect them to be playing at Neymar's level, think before you speak g. FYI: The top 6 teams in Brazil could do some damage in any european league, including the champions league but you don't watch it, making your opinion invalid on the matter. I don't know what you're on mate but it must be fucking extraordinary to make you this delusional.

Fuck UEFA he was the true MotM
avatar
And he wants a salary increase 😆. Worst transfer in the history of FC Barcelona. Horrible player no brain no work ethic stupid as hell and cant even play a few months without getting 4 months injuries. We should sell him at all costs even if it means selling him for a very low fee like 20 millions. We should try to include him in a swap deal at all costs. Horrible player I never liked him.
avatar
Better club, yes Bigger club, no
avatar
Yeah he’s too fucking good in fifa. 20 goals in 10 games. I’m averaging 4 goals a game w my Bremen team and my front line is plata-Sargent-adeyemi. (Playing on ultimate btw) Fifa is such a shit hand. Every game is just w goal fest for me now. Winning games 6–4 and shit is so stupid. When I first started this save and saw my squad I thought I’d just survive first two seasons and play a back 5. Would always concede 3/4 goals so I moved to a more open formation to score more. Now it’s just retarded
avatar
Despite him being a GK I do not find it surprising Alisson has more PL goals than me this season.
avatar
he's definitely not 187cm as photos proved but the issue is that la liga (and getafe's) official website have him listed as 187 so EA kinda have to trust that. i honestly think it was a typo, he's 178cm https://s3a.sofifa.net/d8709f5bd6bc8fed91029a151e10228af77cf3aa.png

Hard to say who'd be a good fit but I guess Juan Mata could be a coach in the future? Idk. Lee Grant could also work I suppose.

Gikiwiecz is a mentality monster and one of the best Bundesliga keepers in terms of saving shots. Richter originally came from Bayern's academy into Augsburg's and he really impressed at the last U-21 tournament, but hasn't really done much since, maybe you can get more out of him? ;) Caligiuri is also a natural leader on the field. Hahn didn't play professionaly before Augsburg signed him from th 4th tier and worked as a car painter. Gregoritsch was fantastic 2 years ago. Last season he was benched and loaned out to Schalke. Maybe you can get him back on track. In real life he's best as a goalscoring 10. Niederlechner is a working horse upfront. Finnbogasson is injured most of the time but when he's fit he scores like crazy. Suchy was recorded as the slowest Bundesliga player. Schieber was good at Stuttgart but hasn't done much since at Dortmund Hertha and now Augsburg. Oxford is a former West Ham wonderkid who needs a break through. Götze and Khedira are off course brothers of Mario and Sami. Framberger and Danso are promising academy graduates and maybe you want to get Erik Thommy back. Malone really impresses on loan at Wehen Wiesbaden. Uduokhai could still turn out to become one of Germany's best CB's. I hope that was the type of information you wanted, have fun with your Augsburg career :)

I think a problem with Haaland is that he is a very unique type of player, and I am afraid that because of that he will not succeed at the biggest clubs. Haaland is at his best when he gets in behind defenders, and he primarily scores with his left foot. Problem is that the bigger clubs usually face teams who let them have the ball, and lay low and defend most of the game. I feel like a player like Haaland is ill suited for this type of scenario, which you could clearly see in his last run with the national team. Despite of Haalands incredible record, he is not a natural goal scorer, who either creates chances or can finish anything. He doesn’t score much from headers or outside the box. He could obviously become this type of player, like Ronaldo did at United, and I’m not saying he’s bad, far from it. I just think it might be beneficial for him to keep developing at a team like Dortmund, where he gets to play his favourite role, and favourite type of football until he gets more experienced.
avatar
He can cause a real headACHE to the opposition defenders
avatar
Yes. Irl he would also suit pretty well. Would be my fav. transfer this summer
avatar
Yeah he’s my starting LB, I don’t really want him to push up that much bc of the AI not understanding basic football. I used the 4-1-4-1 and it works perfectly apart from AI brain farts.
avatar
I’m playing with SC Verl, I started out 2-1-0 with the draw being a 5-5 against Ingolstadt. Then I lost a home game in the 90th and drew another one, I play on legendary which is as at times and really difficult. I read on Reddit that you have to manually tack back with midfielders or play 5atb. Ima try to play a 4-2-3-1 and manually track back and if that doesn’t work I guess I’ll try 5atb

gaard means farm in danish, and the surname originates from the farms where a family lived, as the Vestergaard's lived in the Vester=western farm of the nearest city/village. Kjør is derived from the ancient word that eventually became kær, which means loved in danish. Therefor Kjaergaard means lovedfarm. I think that's sweet. We actually have a Kjærgaard and a Vestergaard not for from where I grew up.

I love the buys you made, keep up the good work! I also try to keep it realistic in my CMs instead of just buying 13 85 potential wunderkids. It is true to the club's history to have their highest potential (and highest transfer value) players come through the academy. Thanks, I will try to create a player and edited player options then share my 1860 squad.
avatar
Thank you all guys :)
avatar
Benzema would be the perfect choice! He is still very attached to Lyon, and has recently spoken openly about his desire to finish his career there.
avatar
Maybe Lisandro Lopez or Gonalons ?
avatar
The reason is EAs contract with FIFPro, which doesn't allow them to add players younger than 17 (why that is, I have no clue)

Found Jonas https://sofifa.com/player/238067

kinda looks like Bartosz from Dark

His height is an issue. He makes up for it with pace and his tackles. I’m using him on rotation now.

i checked and verona has an option to buy

I believe Hellas has an option to buy, but i'm not sure
avatar
-15 short passing -15 long passing He lacks passing. Passlack.

I sign him right away every career mode
avatar
Now is AC Milan player. Ready for a downgrade like 72/77
avatar
He did amazing in my career mode. Just get fast wingers, and Macias will do fine.
avatar
Well, rating players is a very subjective thing, and it comes down to what you're watching for in a player. EA's editors clearly like what they see, whereas you don't. No harm, no foul, and time will show us who is correct in the end.
avatar
Not really, Ansu fati was added november 2019. After his 17th birthday (Oct 31).
avatar
Nice name
avatar
Cool, thanks! i'll definitely try it out
avatar
Its sort of a mixture between the two to be honest
avatar
Baumgartlinger most definitely, as he was in the academy from age 8 I believe and made his pro debut with the club. Oversight on my part. Strobl definitely was a youth player for Sechzig and I do recall seeing him on the U17/18 side but I "think" he left the club and never played on the professional side.
avatar
62/81 or 62/79
avatar
Very interesting stat
avatar
Seriously EA! WTF... makes TOTW, 12 goals in 17 matches and still no upgrade!?
avatar
Yeah turn off the game and throw it away, you'll thank me later
